Regular Cleaning & Inspection By Your Jeweler

To keep your diamond as beautiful as the day you set eyes on it and to keep your Lifetime Warranty in effect, your diamond ring must be inspected and professionally cleaned every six months and the inspection verified in writing on the back of the warranty form. Morgan Jewelers and any Love Story® Jeweler will do this at no charge. In addition to the required inspections, please feel free to bring your ring in at any time (i.e. wedding day, dinner with the old friends, you happen to pass a Morgan Jewelers Store, ect.) for professional cleaning and inspection. Be sure to bring your certificate with you when you have your diamond cleaned and inspected.

Take advantage of the free inspection and cleaning, our motto is "always brilliant™"

You can also maintain your diamond's maximum brilliance between professional cleanings with our specially formulated Love Story® Jewelry Cleaner.

1. Dip your ring in the cleaning solution.

2. Brush the diamond with a soft, clean brush

3. Wipe with soft towel

Follow these few easy tips and your diamond will remain as beautiful as the day you bought it, for years to come.

Sleeping

One of the most damaging behaviors done to jewelry is to sleep with it on. You do the most damage to your jewelry in your sleep because you are less aware of your surroundings. Prongs snagging, chain breaking, and missing stones occur overnight. You can also cause damage to your significant other, seriously.

Showering/Bathing

"Jewelry should be the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you remove at night."

Another common mistake is to shower and wash your hands with your jewelry on. There are several acids in shampoos, soaps and lotions that will harm your stones and setting. Especially if your setting is white gold, exposure to these chemicals will hurry along the need for rhodium plating (the act of adding a fresh layer of metal called rhodium to bring back the bright white appearance). Nothing will dull the brilliance of your diamond like build up of soap scum and lotion.

Sports and Activity

Harm can be done to you as well as your jewelry when you are playing sports or being physically active. It is very possible to snag a prong on a ring or bracelet, even the chain of a pendant. Also, you may bend your ring or snag your earring on a foreign object, all of which could harm you as much as your jewelry. These are not limited to just team sports, but also weight lifting as well as your career if it is physical such as construction or mechanics. Many industrial accidents could be avoided if jewelry were removed during work hours.

Housework

Housework is negative for your jewelry just the same as showering with your jewelry. The household chemicals are just as, if not more so, damaging to stones and settings. Also, the physical aspect of housework could put you in harms way if you are wearing jewelry and cleaning. Jewelry may catch or snag on something around the house while you are distracted with your task.
